Stress

Why do you stress? The majority of us would rather say that it is because we do not have enough time, and that is why we are stressed but it is exactly the opposite. We do not have any time because we stress, and when are stressed we become destructive and make poor decisions. We do not get stressed from having too much to do; on the contrary we work best when we are stimulated. Instead it is our reaction to the stress that causes problems. Why do you stress? //Marianne

Actually, without stress we would never get out of bed to do anything. Stress is only a problem when it becomes distress.

    • I have to disagree with you. Stress is a survival instinct we used to need, and yes sometimes still need to use but it’s not what gets us out of bed. We do not get stressed from having too much to do; on the contrary we work best when we are stimulated. Neither is stress bad for us in a short time perspective.

But our “ancient” biological bodyconstruction unfortunately reacts the same way today as it did 10 000 years ago when we had to choose between fight or run due to danger. A lot of people tend to be constantly stressed for no reason, and then we make the big mistake of not taking time to rest and to restore our bodies. When we are stressed we make bad decisions, we see it all the time in traffic for example. Stress is behind 90 % of all illness in the western world today, and sadly the rest of the world is following our path.
