Focus

The more we repeat a thought the more fixated it becomes. A positive thought feeds a new positive thought, which in turn creates another positive thought. The same applies to negative thoughts; a negative thought generates another negative thought. Your thoughts = your opportunities. //Marianne

  1. Habrá que ponerlo en práctica, con pensamientos positivos, muchos besos Marianne

    • Manoli, tienes razón, sobre todo cuando la vida es un poco difícil. Por cierto, me encantan tus fotos, :). = Manoli, you are so right, specially when life is a bit tough. By the way, I love your photos, :).

  2. True, Marianne… If we think negatively about any one topic we will find this attitude (like a rolling stone gathering moss) pervading other areas/topics… Scary, but true. Good thing it works the same regarding positive thoughts…! 🙂

    • Like a rolling stone gathering moss, Carolyn I love your metaphor! 🙂 Yes, we’re very lucky it works with positive thoughts as well… Imagine if it didn’t, (:.

  3. I have a few things that I repeat over and over to myself throughout the day.. Absolutely true this post is, so think positive!!!

    • When you start repeating your thoughts over and over again, stand up and lift your hands above your head. Voila, you’ve broken your train of thought. Change it to a positive thought by looking at a photo of your father, or your children, day dream for a few minutes about your life in New Orleans, listen to feel good music etc, :). ABBA’s music always make me smile, it never fails :).

  4. This is so true. I find this particuarly important when I’m working with college students throughout the day…having someone stay positive for them is a critical part of their lives is essential. It’s a difficult task, but I guess all we can do is try!

  5. Marianne, This is really cool, and so very true! I have focused on positive only to have it enhanced, and the same with negative. You, and I are on the same street. http://asecondcup.wordpress.com/2012/08/12/four-walls-no-doors-no-windows-no-exit/
