Six days to Christmas, actually it is only five days for Swedes around the world because we celebrate on Christmas Eve, and people are starting to feel a bit stressed. It is time to recharge your mental and physical batteries, and do the spoon trick. Sit comfortable in a chair, take a deep breath and start counting backwards 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and feel how your body starts to relax. In one of your hands, you hold a spoon. Keep taking deep breaths and let all your worry, and stress float away. Let your mind drift away, maybe to a place in the sun, or to a mountaintop. Keep taking deep breaths, relax and let yourself drift off to sleep. When your hand that holds the spoon is totally relaxed it will fall to the ground and you will wake up. You will now feel relaxed, refreshed and revitalized. //Marianne

Our brain like contrasts and a good night’s sleep requires physical and mental exercise during the day. It is also important to have a relaxed attitude towards falling asleep because the more we try; the harder it is to fall asleep. It is better to do the exact opposite and try to stay awake as long as possible. That is an easy and also a reachable goal; stay awake as long as it is possible. Learn to appreciate and enjoy the comforts of your bedroom, it should be a place free of clutter and your piece of heaven. I love reading food blogs, and I’m a fairly good cook but I don’t have time to cook very often anymore. But I like reading recipes’ as it is very relaxing and I collect old cookbooks. It is time for me to go on vacation, I have put away my briefcase and I’m saying hello to lazy days in the sun. I am going to spend quality time with my family and friends, and do absolutely nothing the next few weeks. Except for blogging every day. 365 days and I stick together for better or worse, through sickness and health and that includes my annual vacation. It might take me a bit longer to answer your comments, and I might miss some of your posts. Rest assure I have not abandon any of you.
